- Teach lifestyle changes to prevent dysfunction and/or re-injury
- Provide education to women throughout all cycles of their life.
- Programs and Features
In this program, our specially trained therapists assist pre- and post-partum patients in minimizing the undesirable effects of pregnancy on the back and extremities. The program includes teaching them safe exercises and how to practice good posture and body usage, as well as various modalities and manual techniques. It is designed to relieve cervical, thoracic, lumbar, sciatica, and pelvic pain disorders as well as helping to manage overuse injuries.
Using treatments such as therapeutic exercise, biofeedback, and patient education, the Pelvic Floor Strengthening Program helps patients retrain pelvic floor muscles and impact the issues that occur as a result of weakness in these muscles such as low back pain and urinary incontinence.
Patients are taught how to manage pain and increase their ability to perform the activities of daily living through strength and endurance training, improving posture, and identifying risk factors.
Our fibromyalgia program is designed to empower patients through graduated exercise while considering the needs of each individual patient.
Patients are educated on how to minimize abdominal insufficiency and its functional impact after childbirth.
Through strengthening exercises and therapeutic modalities our spinal program is designed to address the unique needs of the female spine throughout every phase of life.
Pelvic Organ Prolapse
Rehabilitation focused on strengthening the pelvic floor muscles which provides support for the pelvic organs. Specifically designed to minimize symptoms of pain and discomfort resulting from prolapse through a customized exercise program.
